Iridium 192 (Ir-192)

Optimal Sharpness - the iridium is centred in the pellets, and their thickness is selected for the best geometry. The pellets do not deform due to reactor irradiation. That is why Agiris™ sources provide optimal image sharpness.

Tailored to Customer Needs - using a combination of pellets, the sealed source can be manufactured with an active diameter ranging from 0.5 to 4 mm, and a height ranging from 0.33 to 4 mm. Using just one pellet, or combining several of them, enables the versatility to make customers’ sources to the exact dimensions and activities that they require for their specific applications. 

All sealed source assemblies are double-encapsulated and pass multiple rigorous safety requirements, before being shipped to our facilities.

Technical Data Sheet, source leak test and source tag is provided with each sealed source assembly.  Spencer Manufacturing performs device leak test with each sealed source assembly exchange.
